Programming

During the years as an IT Manager, technician and general computer dogs body I spent many hours creating custom Access and Outlook solutions to help answer employees issues in the work place. In 2009 I was laid off as a result of a new company takeover and the world wide recession.

Since being laid off I have had an opportunity to develop my programming skills. I am up to speed in Visual Basic and Visual C#. I am currently putting Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) into my arsenal. XAML rocks!

My next big project is writing the sequel to ADDIOS. I plan to use a SQL 2008 Express database to power a WPF Desktop Application in C# using Entity Framework as my Data Access Layer(DAL). If things go well I plan to have this completed by the end of 2010.

This page, if I find the time, is to catalog my programming journey and I hopefully to share some of my learning successes with any body interested.

I am not anticipating a big readership frankly, but what the heck its my blog and my time, ain’t it.
